If it has an automatic pilot, the injector could be blocked. If it is the model im thinking of, they are extremely over complicated and a pain to work on! This one has a spindle that physically pushes into the gas valve to prove that it has water in everything on this boiler is hydraulic. It is the model im thinking of! There is a part behind the PCBs that somehow controls the gas valve, im sure it is a small pump of some description.

All I know is that they are difficult to diagnose, even Vaillant had trouble explaining how to repair it. Forget British Gas, this type of job is their wet dream. Old, complicated and many obsolete parts!
