Buena Vida Estates. New Haven Ave. Reviewer We only saw the rehab part of Buena Vida Estates. It's old, but for a nursing home, the smell is okay. It's a pretty good place. My brother-in-law is there now under VA. The staff is wonderful.

The food is average. He's 70 years old, and he's not interested in Bingo. The activities are outdated for him. BVE deserves the highest rating. It is a really wonderful place, with a great sense of community - and even family - amongst the residents and staff. My parents started out in a beautiful two bedroom apartment in independent living. As health needs changed, they moved on to a 1 bedroom in assisted living and now memory care.

My two siblings and I have actively participated in the transitions and come to know the staff and facilities in all three living areas, and the health services like physical therapy, doctors, and speech therapy.

I can't say enough about the excellent quality of care and loving community at Buena Vida. The place is beautiful and comfortable and the food is excellent. There are great lectures, music, social gatherings and games. All we my siblings and I wanted was for our parents to be happy and supported. Of course it is a gamble when one makes such a serious commitment.

But I'm glad to say that my parents and we are very happy they decided on Buena Vida. As my parents' care needs change, I am continually impressed with the quality of loving care at Buena Vida. While we are impressed with the level of support from everyone there: maintenance Jesse , chefs, activities directors Nancy, Debby, and Boyd , I must mention Michael B.

He is exceptionally caring, patient, and respectful of my parents as their needs change. It is clear that he comes from a place of love and patience even when things are challenging, and you can see that my parents truly care for him. Thank you, Buena Vida for all that you do to create such a great community.

My siblings and I love coming to visit, and we also feel at peace when we are away knowing that our parents are well looked after in a loving community.
