Don't call your new file page. You'll find that the copied prototype won't compile, because of an -include "records. No records. You could also delete the include Hope this is useful to someone.

It all worked! I am deleting all my cygwin files right now I believe John's method is what the authors have intended to do, and by far the most complete Windows installation guide over the entire internet. NO need for cygwin whatsoever and that's a totally wrong path and waste of time. If there is a moderator in this group I would suggest adding John's post as sticky if there is such function.

It's your way of saying "Thank you". Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. When file or folder names contain embedded spaces then you MUST surround the whole path with double quotes. This has been like this for decades. Running an sh file with! I would like to figure out how to get these commands to play nicely together, but I guess I can live without WSL for the meantime.

So I weirdly figured this out. You could fix this by simply changing the line to the below. This fixes your current problem but I am not sure what other repercussions might arise by doing this.

I would think you would be fine because this just tells ruby to run heroku using ruby instead of bash or zsh. In the end this is not really a babun problem or a heroku problem but a problem with the fact that you are mixing windows paths and unix paths.

If ruby runs in windows it will expect windows paths if it runs in cygwin it will expect unix paths although I have not tried ruby in babun yet. You might be able to fix this problem if you install ruby in babun and change the ruby call to use the ruby you install into babun instead. Then it should theoretically want unix paths and all would be well with heroku. Heroku couldn't possibly have considered this obscure corner case when delivering their cli.

It wasn't until I used Sys Internals procmon to troubleshoot that I noticed an extra char at the end of the path that wasn't resolving. Cygwin's sh. I appied cygwin's d2u to convert line ends, and the problem was fixed.
