Windows 7 nexus 4 usb driver
As this ONLY occurs when the phone is switched off I believe it is something to do with the Notifications on the lock screen. The phone is also not recognised when trying to unlock the bootloader with Adb. That comes up with an error : No device connected. None of these problems happen running Android KitKat 4. I cannot even revert back to that version as I cannot unlock the bootloader.
I can do usb debugging etc though within the phone. The phone needs to be off but connected to pc to unlock bootloader. Threats include any threat of suicide, violence, or harm to another. I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the phone or contact google. With both my nexus 5 phones running android 5. It would just charge. I have spoken with Google as I said in my initial question , I have also spoken with LG and one of the phones was returned to them under warranty and they reverted it back to Android 4.
That phone works fine when connected to the pc when the phone is switched off or on. As I said the problem is that for some unknown reason Windows 7 detects the phone when it is switched off and tries to install the MTP USB driver and fails.

I followed the instructions although the phone was correctly shown and it updated the MTP USB driver which then said it was unable to start code Unfortunately the above problem still happens.
I do believe this is a Windows 7 compatibility problem. There are many people having this problem and not just with this phone but, according to your forums other items as well including cameras and tablets. Sometimes this might happen because of user account corruption, I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the same things happens. I have another nexus 5 running android 4.
When that is switched off and connected to the pc it does not attempt to install MTP USB driver and just charges as it should do. HI, I hope you can help with this problem.
I now have additional information relating to this. Any help appreciated. This thread is locked. You could also say, that they are the single most necessary tool used for Android programming, right?
I fear that the problem is because of the new driver version v8 or KitKat, because I can't find any working solutions on the net and KitKat is relatively new, however, does anyone have a solution to this? Before you do anything in order to develop on a Nexus 4 at least in my experience , do the following:. In my defense: It doesn't say anywhere, that this is a prequisite for Android development.
I knew of this option, but since the last time I set this option on a device is years ago, I just thought to myself "well I do not want to debug, so this option is irrelevant". If you have a Windows 7 - just update your Windows Media Player.

When I try to run in Eclipse I get a message that says 'No compatible targets were found'. I have also debugged using my Samsung Galaxy S4 using the drivers from Samsung. I plug in the Nexus 4, and go to Device Manager. I right-click and select 'Update Driver Software I have tried uninstalling the driver, but as soon as I plug the phone back in, my computer automatically installs the driver, and when I go back in to Device Manager to 'Update Driver Software And yet still, even after rebooting both my PC and the phone, when I try to run in Eclipse I am still notified that 'No compatible targets were found'.
Any ideas? This device is completely useless to me unless I can get it to debug from Eclipse. A co-worker was able to get it to work just fine on his PC, and we have the exact same PC specs.
